Set the Scene

Unlike its Midtown East neighbors, everything about Fasano Fifth Avenue is sultry, sumptuous, and seductive. Its newest concept, Fasano Bar, is no different.

A reimagining of the group’s former Osteria, the refined cocktail lounge buzzes with understated elegance. Designed by renowned architect Isay Weinfeld, the room is anchored by a striking central bar and wrapped in warm wood tones, mid-century Brazilian influences, and velvet-draped chairs and banquettes.

The vision is one of continuity and evolution: honoring Fasano’s century-old legacy while introducing a more social, contemporary rhythm to its New York flagship.

What’s the Food Like?

Chef Nicola Fedeli’s menu is deeply rooted in Italian tradition, shaped as much by heritage as by sourcing.

Hailing from Tuscany, Chef Nicola draws on familial partnerships and regional producers to bring exceptional ingredients to the table, from Italian caviar to saffron, truffles to seafood. The results feel personal and precise.

Early evenings invite grazing on classic stuzzichini like Vitello Tonnato, Frittura di Calamari, and Tonno (tuna tartare with stracciatella and citrus). As night falls, the menu expands to more indulgent specialties, including Polpo (tender octopus with chickpeas and tomato) and the standout Risotto all’Astice: a saffron-scented Canaroli rice enriched with lobster.

Desserts such as the layered Millefoglie alla Fasano and the decadent, espresso-driven Caffè with layers of mousse, sponge cake, and ganache, deliver a polished, memorable close.

What Can We Expect From the Drinks?

The beverage program mirrors the sophistication of its surroundings. A globally minded wine list leans heavily Italian while spanning France, South America, and the United States.

Cocktails skew classic with a definite edge, with creations like the Aurora Branca–cachaça, Fernet Branca, pineapple, and mint–and the seasonal Sinfonia, which layers pear, spice, citrus, and the unexpected liquor of choice, gin, into a harmonious whole.

Final Thoughts

A destination equally suited for aperitivo, celebration, or a late that unfolds slowly and beautifully, Fasano Bar is effortlessly elegant and intimate.
